Having a coach who is not part of your system and its assumptions walking alongside of your team can result in powerful new insights and direction. The accountability inherent in accomplishing the work that your team commits to do between coaching sessions can lead to greater efficiency and productivity. Since your team's leader continues to lead during the coaching process (and not the coach), I recommend that the team leader participate in individual leadership coaching at the same time that your team is coached.
